[SOLVED!] Samsung 830 slow (read) speed?

Hi guys

I've got my first Hackintosh running (G5-mod) and everything is great. Everything besides Youtube-playback and SSD performance. I believe I'm supposed to reach around 500mb/s read speed with a Samsung 830, but I'm only getting about 300 running on Sata 3, which isn't much better than my M4 running on Sata 2. What can I do to improve this result?

Thanks for reading!
Mathias

I'm getting 370MB/s sequential read, 230MB/s sequential write in both BlackMagic and AJA, with my Samsung 830 256GB.

According to Samsung it should reach 520MB/s, which is why I want more from it :D

I'm wondering the same thing. Though in my case, I'm stuck with the Marvell 88SE9123 SATA controller, which may be the bottleneck.

[Solved!] Samsung 830 slow (read) speed?

SOLVED!!

Thanks mate, you sorta gave me the answer there. I changed my SATA-ports from the Marvell-one (which I had it connected to before) to "the other one" and gained like 100mb/s reads, which still isn't 520mb/s, but I feel it's acceptable now. Here are screen shots from before and after changing ports.
