Same system with laptop change

I'm planning to change my laptop (have Y50-70 already) and I'm wondering if its possible to just move disk with just installing new kexts for new laptop?

In my experiences, it is possible.
But prior to move ssd(or hdd), you must have patched dsdt, config.plist and kexts for new laptop.
