Hello, I have the same problem as described in this thread as well as in
Kernel Panic on High Sierra Installation. I have tried
1. changing in Clover configurator in the ACPI / Drop Tables the option from "DMAR" to "MATS";
2. both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports;
3. 'safe' boot mode for the installation and the absence of this option (standard mode).
I am attaching my zipped EFI folder and outputs of the installation boot process (safe and standard modes) to the console. My profile should provide information needed about my build.
Some additional context, not sure that it's relevant--
My machine was previously running okay, ie I had a working OS X installation. I was never able to use it for any prolonged period, as it would reset under some standard loads (using Apple Pages, or when mdutil was running). I was using a
Streacom DB4 passive thermal dissipation chassis to that point but was never able to run through Geekbench once. (It would reset every time.) Using a CPU monitor, I am pretty sure that the passive thermal management wasn't enough, as the CPU package termperature would quickly rise to >80 degrees Celsius. I had changed the EFI folders during this time, in search of a culprit and in the process was never able to reboot back into OS X since.
I knew the risks of playing with the EFI folder and was ready to reinstall the OS. Concurrently, I installed an active liquid cooler,
Corsair Liquid CPU Cooler H60. But having installed this, I can't boot the installation USB anymore-- because of the kernel panics described in this and related threads.
Thanks in advance for any help.
