I've been doing the hackintosh thing since the days of Leopard (those evil distros) and using real Macs since OS 7.6 but drifted back to a 2012 Mac Mini for a few years. That machine was getting a little slow so I pulled out my last hackintosh board, a Gigabyte H87-HD3 with an i54750 and went scrounging for RAM in the parts box and found my old ASUS P6T D Corsair triple channel kit and happily populated all three sticks into the board and spent the next week troubleshooting KP after KP with seemingly no link or reason for them to be happening, finally deciding it must be a hardware issue, maybe power supply. Then after letting Memtest chew away for 8 passes with no issues.... Dum, dum, dum, dumb...
Sage advice moment, RAM really likes to be installed in pairs on these boards LOL! Sometimes it's the simplest thing.
All good now, great spiffy rig I got now on High Sierra 10.13.4. Clover 4380 works just fine with minimal tweaking.
Good hack all.
