So I just read today that Sabrent has entered the RAM market, with 8GB, 16GB & 32GB offerings already on Amazon.

In addition they also released a brand new 10 bay USB-C (USB3.2 Gen 2) storage enclosure. It doesn't have RAID hardware inside but can be configured with software-based RAID to run.

I like this package but at $600 US in terms of sheer value, it makes a Mac mini seem like a fantastic bargain.

There's a USB-C 3.2 gen 2 interface in a $23 Sabrent NVMe enclosure, Here we've got a similar interface, and we're talking basic materials and fabrication on order of a toaster or other small appliance. Should retail for $150 with a good margin. So the other $450 looks to me like juju.

MediaSonic has offered 4 bay 3.5 in, active cooled, mixed USB 3 / eSATA external enclosure for years at $99 — minor gripe that build quality has diminished a little over time.

Mysteries abound
