I've removed the sleep image and disabled safe sleep mode using the terminal commands in post#1
Checked HD info and could se that the used space was decreased aprox. 8GB space
(from 32 gb to 24 gb)
I can put my comp to sleep and wake it and the used space on my HD info didn't change.
So far so good.
But when i reboot the used space is increased aprox. 2 GB ?
And there's generated a sleep image (2.15 GB) in the (hidden) Private/var/vm folder
I've checked if the sleep mode had changed but it's not.
I thought that it had to do with the Chameleon SSD Optimizer and uninstalled it using CleenAp , rebooted but that didn't change anything.
???????????
UPDATE
I've found the solution post#21 here:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1480259
So if you got that "problem" i've described then do like this:
After running the two terminal commands in post#1
use this command:
sudo ln -s /dev/null /var/vm/sleepimage
I've tested this with a lot of sleep/wake and reboots an so far it's coursing no problems what so ever on my rig.
But if you regret this command you only have to delete the empty sleepimage file in (hidden) Private/var/vm folder
and reboot your comp.
BTY i use the new CleanMyMac v.2.01
It's working really really Great freeing a lot of space by deleting lots of junk and unnecessary files.
