[Release] Hackintool v3.x.x

Is there anything special to do to enable resolutions above 1080p?
I'm on HD 4600 on a 4K monitor via DP but cannot get more that 1080p.
Everything went smoothly with Hackingtool. I even increased VRAM to 2GB.

Thoughts?

Best,

@dgs57,

Thats really strange, I have Z97 Motherboard with i7 4790K CPU and have no issues, there is not much difference between my Haswell system and yours except i'm now running a Vega 64 dGPU. However before the Vega 64 I was running a Nvidia GTX 980 Ti and the system still had no issues with hardware encode/decode so I don't think your dGPU has anything to do with it.

I'll fire up my Haswell system and do a compare to your Clover config and see if i can spot anything, i'm using my laptop away from home right now so won't be able to do it until later ....

Cheers
Jay

Update: I actually have a copy of the EF folder from my Haswell System on my laptop so I checked for any differences in config.plist .. the only things I have enabled which you don't is FixRegions and FixMutex :-

Don't know if that will help but worth a shot.

You are also missing a critical SSDT Hot-Patch that spoofs Darwin as Windows 2015 copy the attached file into /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched .. it might help.

Thats about all I can really suggest ....

Cheers
Jay

Hi Jay,
I made the changes that you had advised me but unfortunately without any positive result: always no acceleration.
thank you

@dgs57,

I don't think there is anything wrong with your system configuration, everything looks good.

The Output from VDADecoderCheck would seem to indicate that anther process has taken exclusive control of AppleGVA and is not releasing it back to the system.

You might be able to find out which process it is using Activity Monitor, Select the Memory tab and sort the list by ascending names (A-Z), find the file called adprivacyd, double click on it and then select the Open Files and Ports tab.

Copy the output and post it here ...

Cheers
Jay

This image indicates you may have a corrupt AppleGVA.framework file.

Try getting a clean one from the macOS installer and replace the one in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/.

Follow instructions here.

Jay Hello, hello Pastrychef,
I did everything you suggested to do but unfortunately the result is always the same: no acceleration.
in summary:
  • In Activity Monitor I did not find the "adprivacyd" file
  • I deleted and restored the new AppleGVA file in PrivateFrameworks
  • I gave the following commands from the terminal: cd / System / Library / PrivateFrameworks /
sudo codesign --deep -fs - AppleGVA.framework
sudo chown -R root: wheel AppleGVA.framework.
  • I set Shikivga = 9 in Clover / boot
  • I tried to add change GFX0 to IGPU in Clover / acpi
  • I tried to change the values of AAPL, ig-platform-id
everything works perfectly except VideoProc which returns N / A and VDADecodercheker the error -12473

Have you tried without the shikigva=9 or with shikigva=60?

I tried with shikigva = 9
I have to try with shikigva = 60?

I tried right now with shikigva = 60 and finally VDADecodederChecker shows that acceleration works while VideoProc does not.
What does this mean? It's all OK? or do we still have to change something?
thank you

Did you click on the circular arrows to refresh VideoProc?
