Hey wzup man reading through your pro book install and i think I have a similar issue,

you mentioned something about needing a dual link patch for higher resolution screens or else no picture on the laptop...

I don't have a pro book but a hp envy 17, i5 3230m

I have a picture on my laptop but nothing on my monitor using 01660004 and I have a 1600x900 screen...qe/ci is there as well. I can get the monitor to work only by switching my id to 01660003 but then my laptop screen doesn't work.

Is this a dual link patch issue? i downloaded your mini-dsdt and placed it in the extra folder but not sure I did it right?

Any insight to this ?
 
Your problem is not getting external display to work. Run the following script in terminal, rebuild cache then restart:

Hey thanks man!!!! do you have one of those magic scripts for audio over hdmi...not a big deal since I have a audio interface..but if you do...that would be great!
 
ahhh never mind then i have voodoo and I don't even know what a dsdt is... thanks anyway
