RECOMMENDED MOTHERBOARD FOR BUILDING 8th GEN

Hi guys, I just wanted to recommend the GIGABYTE H370m DS3H for building a Hackintosh for the 8th generation of intel. The mother is awesomely compatible, no issues for entering the installer, or installing audio, network, USB. Just a few tricks and everything is working well. Ask me if you have any issues.



The specs I installed are



GA H370m DS3H

Intel I7 8700 w/ stock cooler

Hyper X fury 16gb ddr4

GA RADEON RX 580 4gb

Wd SSD 240gb

Thermaltake PSU



This Hackintosh was built for a friend of mine. That's why it is not listed on my specs.

Did you use Apitomemory fix or one of the OSXapitofixes? or did you use osxapitofix2drv-freee2000?

Haven't check that, but for sure osxaptiofix3drv kext is being used. No need to use freee2000

its actually an EFI file not a Kext but that's ok. I built a system over the weekend using a H370 HD3 board but it did not seem to like any of the OSXaptiofix1-3 :-/

I ended up using 2000free and told my buddy that he should try and figure out how to get one of the others to work as I did not have the time to mess with it. That’s why I was curious what version you were using with the H370

I don't understand much what you said. But If you have an high sierra installer, and set the correct settings in you bios, you should not have much trouble reaching the installer and installing the OS.

What I said was, I need up using OSXAptioFix2-Free2000 and told my friend who the system was for that he should look into the other OSXAptio files. But I was receiving failed to Allocate Memory Errors, when not using Free2000 and that is related to the Aptio files. Maybe it is a problem with Mojave and High Sierra would have not given me the issue no idea and no way to test at this point.
