Hi, my ethernet is working after installing the realtek rtl 8xxx kext in Multibeast 3.7.3 after fresh install (10.6)

But When I upgrade to 10.6.8 it stops detecting the ethernet

My spec is

I7 2600K
GIGABYTE Z68X UD4 B3
gSKILL RIPJAWS 1600 16GB (4X4)

so my ethernet is Realtek RTL 8111E (onboard)

and Im pretty sure that is the kext problem cuz It worked on 1.6

the kext I installed was Realtek 8xxx kext 2.0.6, even I download this directly from Realtek's official web it wont work

Ive also tried lnxmac (not sure howits spelled, but its the first option in Multibeast 3.7.3)
and also its latest version - 0.0.67

and downloaded some kext from kexts.com (one called realtekRTL81XX.KEXT has 4k+ downloaded history and one called realtekrtl8169.kext)

all of them wont work (ive even tried Tony's 10.6.8 networking issue thread)

anyone ?

kk ive realized that lnxmac's 0.0.67 does not support this newer version of 8111e, i just want to know that is there anyone successfully made it work

First, you should be careful not to install too many drivers for the same function as that can cause conflicts.

The fix that has been the most successful for me is to just renew the DHCP lease in System Preferences/Network/Advanced
