really weird audio with uad arrow

Im using the thunderbolt ex3 and the uad arrow. so I went through the guides that a few people made on various forums and was able to get the firmware on the thunderboltex3 updated in windows and everything connects great every time with the arrow, but for some reason I get really weird audio coming out of the arrow into my headphones. it sounds like its low cut or something, also playback in logic doesnt really work. it can record, and the waveforms look normal but when i try to play it back theres nothing.
(this in in macos mojave 10.14.4)
i might try to downgrade to 10.13.6 cause that version was really solid for me.

does anyone know how to downgrade firmware on uad devices? I tried resetting by holding down the three buttons at startup it but that did nothing.

I figured out that the audio is playing back at a really low volume in logic, everywhere else it sounds low quality and hi passed. I really dont know whats wrong.
