I'm having this exact issue with my GA-Z68Z-UD3H-B3 and 6870. Unfortunately, my Apple Cinema Display uses a mini Display Port connector and the mobo has a standard Display Port connector. I don't have another monitor.

Noob question: What file are you editing the GraphicsEnabler in?

For ATI 68XX users, the easiest way to get to installer is add your GFX device id to the Unibeast ati 6000 controller kext...no editing plist or deleting/reinstalling kext and no removal of video card.

SWEET! I'm just not sure how to do that :) - searching now.

DVDplayer app by Apple is no longer supported. You will notice if you do a fresh install like I did on my MacBook Pro it is not there.
It only carried over due to the fact you had it installed in Lion which probably carried over from SL

I am sure Apple disabled it in ML

This guy got it back by restoring a few SATA-related kexts from Lion. Might be worth a try, though the video is extremely tedious. It seems odd that they would get rid of an app like DVD player!

yeah, my ethernet works.

my dvd player app does not. i get this message:

there was an initialization error

A valid DVD drive could not be found. [-70012]

i have two optical drives that are recognized. it recognizes discs in them, but when it tries to load the dvd player, i get that message.

is this related? know of a fix?

Yeah - I had the same issue. It turned out to be an easy fix - see here:

So what you are saying I need to put in my device id here:

(Part of ATI6000Controller.kext/Contents/Info.plist)
<string>AMD6000Controller</string>
<key>IOPCIMatch</key>
<string>0x67681002 0x67701002 0x67791002 0x67601002 0x67611002 0x67501002 0x67581002 0x67591002 0x67401002 0x67411002 0x67451002 0x67381002 0x67391002 0x67201002 0x67221002 0x67181002 0x67191002 0x68401002 0x68411002 0x67041002</string>

?

Looking in System Profiler in my macbook pro it is:
Fabrikant: ATI (0x1002)
Apparaatcode: 0x6741

So it would be turn out as:
0x67411002

Sorry mate, got a better offer from the missus so we went to bed. :p:thumbup:

And to answer your earlier question, it was a straight clean install on blank drive.
The install was sweet with on board, but just got a white screen after putting the HD6950 back in.

Will give it another go and see what happens.

Did you have any luck yet?
