I had a fully working system.(10.7.1)
I went into problem installing 10.7.2.
Decided to restore my system with my backup made with carbon copy cloner.
I used this soft since a long time ago ,never had problem restoring s/l.and iboot
After restore i tried to use rboot to boot to my existing lion partition,
to install chimera bootloader but i Got this message can't find mach_kernel .
So now what should i do ,don't want to spend days rebuilding a new working system
As far i am concern rboot doesn't work.
Iboot with snow was perfect.
Is there a way to inject bootloader to the restore partition using for example
a windows operating system or i am stuck there to rebuild my lion macosx.
Thanks
Regards

Clone is bootable, yes?
Boot clone drive.
Use CCC to clone back to the original drive.
Reboot and hit f12 (or whatever your BIOS uses to let you select a boot device)
select clone drive to boot.
At chimera screen, select the original drive to boot.
At desktop, run MultiBeast.
Reboot. and hit f12 to select your original drive.
shutdown and disconnect backup clone for safety.
Boot to BIOS and set OSX drive first in boot order. Save&Exit, continue boot.

No need for iBoot or rBoot.

when using ccc it's suppose to be bootable but it doesn'nt backup the bootloader (chimera)i don't known why.It was the same problem with s/l backup but i was able after restore to boot with iboot and run multibeast and reinject bootloader.
i did exactly what you said and usually that's the way i proceed to restore my backup up.
But now backup is not bootable ,so i am unable to boot into lion and inject chimera bootloader ,
Any other idea???

thanks
