Good Job...thanks for sharing your build.

PS i love your case :ugeek:

Thanks guys, sorry i didnt take more pics during the transformation but i hope it helps with the evolution of hackintosh's to ressurect the powermac g4! :)

Hello, can you tell me a little bit more about the audio amplifier? Where did you get it? It looks a bit complicated.

Its basically a kit that i had to put together from an electrical wholesaler here called altronics: http://www.altronics.com.au/index.asp?area=item&id=K5136 which i then put into a metal case and used to power the pro speakers - more than enough :)

Perhaps, but i preffer to have a class AB amp over a class T. Also i needed something local there and then without waiting a couple weeks for international shipping. Plus, I enjoy making my own kits, it's part of the fun of creating your own custom setup!

really beautiful work!

I tried 2 times to create a home-converter adc to dvi but I've had bad results,
can I ask you to send me the material you have so I can simulate your job?
Thank you !

Thanks, 50 dollars is a bit pricey!

Great job! This is a really sweet mod you have put together!

I don't use a DSDT either and OS X runs just fine; I'm sorry about the voodoohda glitch, have you tried the latest version?

You can download it from here:

*Edit* I just realized Multibeast has the 2.8.4 version of VoodooHDA as well, my bad. Did you make sure the "Use SSE2" and "Enhance Stereo" were checked in the VoodooHDA panel under system preferences?

If you haven't already, I would definitely install this too, it prevents those random KPs at boot, by loading the VoodooHDA kext as soon as you log into your account…. That's if you are getting those kernel panics.

Fantastic! DVI and speakers, and keeping it all looking stock. Great job. What's next in your old mac collection?

Thanks, i'm looking into making a hackintosh G4 Cube for my media server, or modifying my iMac G4 with a miniATX. not sure which one to do next :)
