Hi

I am running Mac OS X High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G7024) on a ASUS Maxiumus Hero X, Intel i7 and 64GB memory. Since moving to High Sierra I am having consistent crashes due to Kernel Panic mostly either when unattended or when I start working in the morning.
I use two monitors, one driving by the on-board UHD Graphics 630, the other by a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050.
The Kernel Panic does not seem to caused by the issue but I am not an expert in reading a Kernel Panic. This is the latest Crash Report:

I updated the OS several times and with it the Nvidia Web Drivers but did not do anything with Multibeast (10.4.0 - 1). This is my current MB configuration:

Quick Start > Clover UEFI Boot Mode
Drivers > Audio > AppleALC
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC Plugins
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC HWMonitor Application
Drivers > Misc > Core Graphics Fixup AKA WhateverGreen Drivers > Network > Intel > IntelMausiEthernet v2.4.0 Drivers > USB > Remove XHCI USB Port Limit
Drivers > USB > USBInjectAll
Bootloaders > Clover UEFI Boot Mode
Customize > System Definitions > iMac > iMac 17,1 Customize > Graphics > NVIDIA Web Drivers Boot Flag

Any help is appreciated - Andy

I eventually got so tired of these crashes so that I dropped NVidia and bought a Saphire Pulse RX580 and upgraded to Mojave. I hope that this will get ride of most of these crashes and that I can put my computer to sleep when needed.

I'm having a very similar issue. I have a 980 Ti on Sierra 10.12.6 on Skylake i5 6500. I was getting type 14=page fault crashes, but I experienced a type 13 like you. I thought I had bad memory, but 4 passes with Memtest proved that theory wrong. Apps randomly crash on my system without warning. Oddly enough, my system has been fine for 2 years, and only now is acting up.

What I've been doing is every time my computer restarts from a panic, I copy the log so I can review it later. So far, I have about 20 logs, including crash reports from apps like Firefox.

Please do report on if the update to Mojave/AMD fixed your issues. I've been holding out on Sierra since the High Sierra drivers sucked, and I'm dying to get Mojave.

Good luck :)

After running Disk Utility, it appears my SSD has errors! I think that may be the cause of my KP'ing, and possibly yours. Definately worth running First Aid on your boot volume from Disk Utility. I'm backing up critical files to my server, then I'm going to boot into my Sierra installer USB and try and repair the drive. I'm going to look up how to interpret HWMonitor's SSD data, cause it has a lot of information that may reveal if my 3 year old SSD is failing.

That was my initial problem when I upgraded to Mojave but when the 2nd SSD got corrupted (same make and model) I got suspicious. Moving back to High Sierra did somewhat elevate the problem (less crashes) but did not fix it.
Since two days now I am running the Saphire Pulse graphics card and no issues so far. I even when back to my original SSD (m.2 Samsung EVO Pro 1TB) and so far no issues.
For now I think my issues where caused by the Intel UHC 630 on board graphics card and the corrupted SSD is caused by the crashes which would not be a flaw in the APFS. I will write an updated when the dust settled.

Very interesting, well I'd love to review your problem reporting files (here's a simple script to generate almost everything) just out of curiosity. I've had issues configuring Intel graphics in the past, but since then there've been some great tools and resources. Yet I still choose to run discrete cards cause 4K GANG.

I fixed my system completely by reloading Sierra, and since then I have had no crashes. I do wonder if part of my SATA implementation was messed up (bad kext, Clover EFI driver, or DSDT patch I'm forgetting about), or ironically if running 'sudo trimforce enable' had any negative effect.

I moved back to the my internal m.2 drives that got corrupted initially and since a week I did not have any crashes.
The only thing I did was removing my Nvidia graphics card, replace by the Saphire Pulse, disable the Intel UHC 630 on board graphics card and moved to Mojave.

I really appreciate the follow up. I ordered an AMD card as well (Asus RX 580) and I'm not getting any more crashes either. I actually am having issues getting DisplayPort output so I'm switching motherboards to see if that fixes it (long story). Very strange issues we're having.

I had to disable the onboard Intel UHC 630 (display goes to PEG instead). I cannot speak for your motherboard but next time I'm in the business of buying a motherboard I will use an approximate external Graphics card.
But maybe next time I can afford a 1k$ stand ;-)
