Random Reboots - Problem with Z97 motherboard?

I've noticed that my desktop often reboots over night, or when I've been away for from it for a day or so. Sometimes it'll reboot just after I log in, and sometimes for no discernible reason at all.

I searched around and found a thread here that suggests it might be a fault with the motherboard: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/memory-corrupted-after-longer-sleep.148289/page-23

However, I thought I'd post a crash log anyway and see if anyone noticed any particular kexts or scary looking strings that might also be the culprit? I'm not sure how to read these logs and don't know what to look for, so any guidance would be appreciated.

Build list:
  • Intel i7-4790k 4.0GHz processor
  • Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7 motherboard
  • 32GB of Crucial Ballistix Elite DDR3-1866
  • Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD
  • Seagate Barracuda 3TB HD
  • GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB video card
  • TP-Link TL-WDN4800 Wifi adapter

Crash report:

I had a Z97MX Gaming 5 motherboard and the OS was crashing constantly. I tried everything from different RAM to beta BIOS but nothing helped. I ended up switching to an Asus brand motherboard and everything has been running smoothly ever since. I think it's an issue with Gigabyte brand Z97 motherboards.

All depends wether Powermanagement and USB is patched correctly. Kernel Panic, Random Panics out of sleep is either caused by Powermanagement or USB Problems. My H97N-WIFI works fine after sleep.

I had power management set up correctly and I had followed the USB guide for 7/8/9 series motherboards. Would there not be differences between H series and Z series motherboards? In the thread on memory corruption after sleep, everyone had issues with the Z series motherboards.

Run MemTest86 for 24 hours.

I hate it to say it but there is definitely something wrong with the Z97MX Gaming 5 motherboard and how Mac OS functions with it. I am running identical hardware and setup with Asus H97M Plus motherboard and have not had a single crash.

I did run it and there was nothing wrong with the RAM. The RAM I had purchased was listed on the compatibility list for the motherboard. The only time I had some success was when I disabled XMP in BIOS.

Do you have Power Nap enabled?
