Random Feezing and Random Reboots

Hello Tonymacx86 community! Hoping someone might have had success with fixing this problem. I built my wife a Hackintosh for her photo business. It works well most of the time however it will randomly reboot while she is using it or sometimes just freeze. Then she has to reboot. I'm am going to provide as much info about the system as I can. Let me know if more info is needed. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I do have 2 .log files from 2 different days when this occurred.
Is there any info in there that i could post that would be helpful?
I have searched all over tonmacx86 forums and many other sites for a resolution but have come up short
I ran memtest on the machine for +5hours and it came up with no errors.
In BIOS I have boot drive on AHCI, I have XMP disabled. Could it be a bios setting?
Could it be related to the GPU? Or some other hardware related setting/configuration that Im forgetting about?
I know I am asking a lot and again any help the Tonymacx86 community could provide would be most helpful and appreciated.

Hi there, thank you for the replay. I am not overclocking anything. But would the GPU or CPU auto overclock if/when needed? is there a way to make sure either or both are not doing so and/or turn off any auto overclocking functions?

No it will not auto-overclock.

from your symptom, the most likely cause would have been a faulty memory stick but you already tested that it is good. It might be overheating , you have an app to monitor the heat sensors in your build ?

Thank you for the reply!!! SO I thought about overclocking too however the CPU is watercooled (corsair H80) And the GPU has 3 fans on it. But thank you I will put on some monitoring software that is a great idea to help narrow down the problem. Thank you again. would there be anything in the logs that I could look for? I'm not really sure what to look for OS X logs.

Are you using TimeMachine ? .. I had a 'corrupted' Time Machine drive that caused the system to hang and reboot everytime TimeMachine fired up.

Solution for me was to :
1) Disable Time machine
2) Verify/Repair Disk
3) Re-enable Time Machine

Thanks for the reply Kasbah, sadly we do not use TimeMachine. We do have 2-3 external enclosures that run in Raid 1 as to protect all the photo files my wife uses. However I will run verify disk and repair permissions on all drives we connect to the pc(mac lol) to see if that helps.

Sadly this still is happening. If anyone else has any suggestions would love to hear them.

I'm absolutely no expert, but I noticed on my machine that there were sudden reboots and panics, specially during install, because of memory problems (overwritings). Maybe you could try to boot with the -no-zp boot flag. Does that make a difference?

I have the same problem occurring on a new build z97x-UD7-TH. How did you run memtest on the machine and where can I find .log files in OS X 10.10.2? Maybe we could compare logs and see if there is a common issue. I was wondering if it was a because the HDD that I have temporarily used was on its last legs, but although it is a few years old it has only had light use. If there is a larger hardware/BIOS setting issue at play, would dearly like to get this sorted out too.
