Hello,
Started getting some random crashes; it would just show a blank screen, usually dark grey or white but I've also seen light green and maroon. Sometimes it does this sitting on the desktop in several minutes only, sometimes it will be stable for an hour and a half before it does this. It is completely unpredictable.
System does not respond to any inputs, and systemlog in console does not show any errors at all; the time of the last entry is when I manually turn it off and then back on.
Even at stock speeds and full "auto" settings it is doing this, so I am not sure if it's a software or hardware setting.
The install is only about 2 months old. I did a system update once, when i did the initial install only. No system updates of any kind since then.
In the beginning (until about a week ago), it was Completely rock solid with no issues at all.
What I have tried so far:
Intel 4790k
Asus Maximus VII hero
2x8gb Kingston HyperX 1600
MSI RX570 8gb "oc armor"
Samsung 860 evo 500gb
evga 750w b3

- Stock settings, no overclock at all. Full auto settings.
- memtest (no issues)
- Prime 95 small ffts (no issues)
- doing absolutely nothing on the desktop after bootup
