RAID cards in Mavericks (for SSD system RAID)

Hello everyone,

I am putting together a new build, and I'd like to set up a two-drive SSD RAID for Mavericks. I understand the easiest way to do this is to get a supported RAID card. I was specifically reading other posts about the Highpoint Rocket 640l. Can anyone confirm that this card or other RAID cards are supported on Mavericks? Anyone have them working?

If your just doing 2 SSDs a soft raind in OSX is much better and easier.

I've already done a software RAID 0 for media storage (5x SSDs), using disk utility which is awesome. But my understanding is that you can't just do a simple software RAID for the system drive. I tried it, and had all sorts of booting issues so I never really figured it out. Any suggestions?

I am using a soft raid setup right now for booting, follow a guide here in the forums.
