So, right now, and I mean right this minute, I am taking out a $20,000 loan on my house just so I can have that $6k monitor and a CPU, Memory and SSD that is less than what I have right now.......:rolleyes::rolleyes:.....geez, Apple, sign me up....

NOT!
Don't forget to buy the $1000 support for the monitor, otherwise you would have to find a way to have it floating in your desk.

Oh crap! You're right, I forgot that. I'll add it to my list right away......

Do you guys think the base model, with radeon pro 580 tends to perform any better than a 9900k with 32gb ram and a rx580 ? It has less storage than the imac pro, no 5k display lower end gpu, and still costs more. Base config makes no sense, more advanced stuff will cost too much for almost everyone. it's more restrictive than ever.

The monitor is pretty sick though

I’ve just completed a successful build of 10.14.5 with a Z370 gaming Aorus 7 (F13) and i7-8700K. Both OpenCL and Metal score around 150,000 while Windows 10 scores 200,000+.

I don’t have any glitches or artifacts though so my question is do those 50 thousand points translate to a real difference in basic OS X operation / video editing via premiere pro?

Does anyone else have mouse stuttering issues on your radeon vii? My mouse keeps stuttering when i wake the computer from sleep and it’s really annoying

At some point in Mojave 10.14.x did all scores in Geekbench got chopped. Even my Vega 56 which scored 185.000 went to 140.000ish from one update to another. But the performance in Final Cut Pro was the same. VII is even faster in FCP, and I too get those 150.000ish scores.

So don’t compare win/mac/linux with geekbench until they get it sorted.

We should really see 220.000+ (Vega 64 LC scores 210.000ish) if it was not bug’ed.

Yes, pretty much all Vega users saw a significant drop in Geekbench scores with macOS 10.14.5. No one knows why. Scores in other benchmarks seem unchanged.

I finally got acceleration with Radeon 7, in fcpx the tests remained the same ... big time in redender 422 or h.264... Bruce 5k test over 30s
in fact it is a joke, only uhd 630 ensures acceleration ... check it with activity monitor...

BruceX Test is supposed to be Exported on Apple ProRes 4:4:4 XQ
Apple ProRes Export OBVIOUSLY doesn't uses iGPU UHD 630 Hardware Acceleration as it's not H264/H265.
BruceX Speed Test Per Card on brand new MacOS Installation on 10.14. All test run by me using i9 9900K. All Vega have mod Drivers. All tests with SMBios 18,3 (19,1 Doesn't differ) but one using iMac Pro 1,1:
Radeon RX 570 Mini 4GB Standard - 18,3: 24.0"
Radeon RX 570 4GB Standard - 18,3: 22.0"
Radeon RX 580 8GB Standard - 18,3: 15.0"
Radeon RX 580 8GB Nitro - 18,3: 14.5"
Radeon RX 590 8GB Standard - 18,3: 14.5"
Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB MSI Blower - 18,3: 13.5"
Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB Sapphire Pulse - 18,3: 13.0"
Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB Sapphire Pulse - 1,1: 13.5"
Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB Sapphire Nitro - 18,3: 13.0"

Hope this makes some sense.
