I tried the latest beta on a test drive and Netflix did not work. I first tried with iMac14,2 SMBIOS, then tried with iMacPro1,1 with WhatEverGreen and those two boot args posted before and still no luck.

for your case on DRM or Netflix try -shikifps only. well i don't know if it works.

No luck getting it to work with that flag. Which dummy kext did you use?

The same one, HEVC.10.14.1.kext

I did not try Netflix or iTunes DRM, don’t have them.

On 10.13.x to 10.14.1 need disable IOGVACodec otherwise system will very unstable.

On 10.14.2, use native AppleGVA (HEVC encoding is really fast, as fast as IQSV H264) and do not disable IOGVACodec, unlike 10.13.x to 10.14.1, on 10.14.2 disable IOGVACodec will cause all H264/HEVC encoder/decoder failure, same as DRM support, DRM only work when IOGVACodec is enabled on 10.14.2.

On 10.13.x use SMBIOS iMac14,2 is better, very stable.
On 10.14.2 use SMBIOS iMacPro 1.1 is better but need lilu + whatevergreen, iMac14,2 + novpa.kext work but unstable (10.14.x with IOGVACodec enabled), tested with different combinations (SMBIOS,patches,CPUs,Mobos, dummy kext), recently HW H264 encoding never work propertly from 10.13.x to 10.14.2, will cause system freeze.

When IOGVACodec is enable, system may not stable due to apps compatible issue.

Is the IOGVACodec enabled by default or is that what the dummy kext is used for?

For RX470/480/570/580, IOGVACodec is native enabled from 10.13.4 up.
For RX460/560, IOGVACodec not native enabled need dummy kext.

I am using iMacPro1,1 with Lilu and WhatEverGreen but DRM is not working.

DRM video playback should work when IGPU is disabled and without any shiki boot flag, when using SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 my RX560 DP port will black screen (iMac14,2 OK), if my monitor is connected to HDMI do not need whatevergreen.

RX4xx/5xx, HW DRM (Apple Fair Play 2.0) is native supported, do not need whatevergreen kext.

I'm not having any luck. DRM only works if I use AppleGVA.Framework from a 10.14.0 system. On my test drive, it's currently running 10.14.2 with iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS and I removed WhatEverGreen. I don't have anything selected under Graphics section, my iGPU is disabled, and yet Netflix is not working.

Try reset DRM should help, see below link for detail

defaults delete com.apple.coremedia
defaults delete com.apple.AppleGVA
sudo rm -rf /Users/Shared/SC\ Info
sudo defaults delete com.apple.coremedia
sudo defaults delete com.apple.AppleGVA

Rebuild DYLD cache if AppleGVA.framework is replaced

sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force

Hi. i use RX 460 and run OS X High Sierra , latetest update.
Which kext should i use to activate that "For RX460/560, IOGVACodec not native enabled need dummy kext."
Thanks
PS: Can i use the kext (you recommend, upload here) in Clover /kexts or must i install that in Library/extension?
If that dummy kext is only for Majave - tell me (which kext for mojave) - i have also Mojave running, but not as working system, only testing.

I use attached dummy kext for Mojave 18C31g, place it into Clover/kexts/other.

For High Sierra 10.13.4 up, change key IOGVACodec to IOGVACodex from dummy kext info.plist, increase system stability/compatibility but Airplay will not work.
