Didn’t test jpgs, only default print screen png. Will try jpeg.

When using SMBIOS iMac18,x/19,x, no hwe420 support from AppleGVA, no AMD GVA H264 encoder , need WEG boot flags.

Preview error report, iMac19,2 DGPU stanalone.

I'll give you an advice to use the new iMacs Smbios 19,1 or 19,2 to match your coffee lake build.

New iMacs Smbios 19,1 or 19,2, CPU PM is HWP control match coffee lake build, power consumption slightly better than XCPM control, but may not the best, low idle frequency will be offset at 1.3 GHz.

If want better CPU PM, try frequency vector injection, see my previous post #900.

Yes. Tested real iMac 19.x and the lowest cpu frequency is 1.3 Ghz, same with hackintosh.
My hackintosh has linear idle with 19.X smbios compared with smbios 18.3.

I tested Apple HWP feature for few years, seems to be no advantage for me, why Apple offset low idle at 1.3 GHz instead off CPU default 0.8 GHZ.

See below png, frequency vector + XCPM control, linear idle @0.8 GHz.

That’s beautiful .
In windows it does idle at 0.8 Ghz like it should be, maybe its more snappy at 1.3 Ghz vs 0.8 Ghz, someone people use High Performance or Ultra and the cpu always stay at maximum speed.

Hi,

I made hardware encoding and decoding available with dummy141 with my Radeon RX 580 8 Go on 10.14.4

However, when I export with adobe premiere in H264, it's very dirty. Despite the result file size is the same, the Hardware compression is bad. I can see big square in the pictures. When using software compression instead, everything is OK.

Did anyone experienced this?

Waiting for 10.14.5 official release, H264 green artifacts issue fixed on 10.14.5 beta 2.

Use frequency vector injection can get steady low idle frequency with High / Ultra CPU performance too, just change vector power curve.

For example, CPU frequency rated at 3.9 GHz, using 4.1 GHz frequency vector profile get High / Ultra performance mode, using 3.5 GHz frequency vector profile get power saving mode, using 3.7 or 3.9 GHz frequency vector profile get balance mode.

Good news!
I just tried using OpenCL instead of Metal as a render engine and the quality is a lot better on 10.4.4!! No green artifact, no big square. It's just perfect!!

I heard that Dota 2 has Vulkan support on mac !
