From AMD9500Controller.kext, my MSI RX460 2G OC also have this issue, add Acre FB data may reduce fan noise after GPU high load but don't fully fix this issue, flashed and tested many OC version VBIOS from other GPU vendors, same issue, finally flashed PowerColor RX560 VBIOS (lower PState) fix this issue, seems to be common issue for OC Edition

Seems to be some change on FB and Graphics kexts, both my RX460 and RX570 do not have this issue on 10.14.4.

This high fan speed issue only happens when wake up from sleep and play video for a while, if i close the video, fan speed goes down to zero. If i play the video again, high fan speed again, make a lot of noise.

Tried remove whatevergreen, dummy141.kexts, same thing.

I guess this is why it is called beta wait for apple to solve this issue.

Your dummy kext is outdate, it base on swap ID method, try dummy141 kext, should help.



My ASUS and Asrock mobos also have this issue, due to some ACPI code are missing on usb ssdt table, correct ACPI code then all usb ports work with new SMBIOS like iMacPro1,1.

I have formatted macos and installed 10.3.4 deleting all the kexts and leaving only dummy kext. Now I have about 138.000 opencl points with MacPro6.1 smbios.

Another question, how can I monitor the temperatures of the RX580? I have VirtualSMC.kext but istat does not show them. Some time ago I used it and if I got it, I do not know why it does not show it now.

Also, some way to enable encoding and decoding in macOS 10.3.4 with the AppleVGA of beta 10.4.4?

No, still testing with 10.13.6, seems to be no way to enable AMD H264 GVA encoder, recently only work on 10.14.4.
