Radeon HD 7950 Help

I guess it's a good idea to start over with a completely clean Clover boot loader on an USB drive. Only add kexts & patches that are 100% necessary. Your AMD GPU should be picked up by the driver without doing anything.

I tried a clean installation with no additional kexts (just enough to boot into OS X without the installation drive; no networking, no sound, etc.). It runs fine with iGFX, but it freezes (just like before) when the 7950 is added.

So, am I out of luck with this card or are there other things I could try?

Do you get any error message or something like that when the crash occures? It's a quite strange problem, not sure why this happens to you...

Not much help, but I am using a 7950 in my system. I installed El Capitan with my 5770. Used that for months then when I got the 7950 I pulled the 5770 out, installed the 7950 and rebooted the machine and it just worked OOB.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I decided to stop trying and picked up a used GTX 970 (which works with no issues).

How to make it working with full acceleration in Mojave? What clover settings and kexts needed?
