Question to anyone who's using the rx580 Pulse: I've been using it sucessfully for some time now in Mojave. On an occasion my system reboots. It looks like the GPU overheats. It's only during gaming that this happens. I pretty much only play ESO so it's not a huge GPU buster.

Any thoughts? I know there were some fan issues at some point but I believe this is gone.

Is anyone else having problems with WEG / WhateverGreen 1.3.5?

SMBIOS is a Retina 5K 27 inch 2017.
Graphics is a Radeon 580. Clover is 5098.
WEG 1.3.4 and earlier work great; solid as a rock for ~2 years now.
WEG 1.3.5 causes a reboot during startup of 10.15.1. I see about 5% of the bootup progress bar (and white apple logo) and nothing else - reboots then.
Going back to WEG 1.3.4 solves it every time, which I do with a few simple renames in the EFI shell.
This happened with an early release of 1.3.5 I compiled and got from Hacktool, and also the WEG1.3.5 download from the developer's web page, release version.
LILU 1.4.0 is in use; I replaced what I had (compiled from Hacktool) with a direct download from the developer's website; there's no question it's LILU 1.4.0.

I have multiple machines with WEG1.3.5 (and happily watching Apple TV now) but ... only on this machine, 1.3.5 causes this nasty reboot.

Anyone have any ideas of what one can test or troubleshoot?

check boot argument plz (i change according to Cg to shikivga=16 try with this.

According to https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen there is no shikivga bootarg anymore.

@dclive,

Incorrect, the shikigva (not shikivga as you wrote) boot argument is used to enable DRM playback on supported systems as detailed in the WhatEverGreen documentation :-

shikigva=16 spoofs iMacPro1,1 DRM enabling features on systems that have a AMD GPU without the need to actually use the iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS ... it should allow DRM playback in AppleTV+, iTunes, Apple Music and QuickTime :-

Brilliant - thanks! I removed all boot args, was still able to boot, moved to 1.3.5, was still able to boot, and then added the shikigva=16 to the mix, and now Apple TV app plays my subscribed Apple TV shows. Thank you!
