My bios in youtube:

There are video options available, it is possible for me to change many things, including disable the discrete video card, but unfortunately I can not disable the integrated (semi-brick), only once accepted without COMS reset, and Osx was launched with a black screen but with backlight, hehe
Setup Utility v. 3.5, if unlocked well, can provide all the options working.

For you (ProoBook user), should be very easy for a person who knows how to do this, because your bios does not have Crypt RSA. I think the problem for you now is how to flash new bioses.

Our bios is very different to yours Micky, I might post a video for you to see, in the meantime i'll try looking for the other bit of software you added and look at the changes but that won't be until tomorrow as i'm going to be busy tonight

I assume you meant rw everything? Unfortunately without installing the new bios I can't see any changes as I don't think you can open a modded bios and compare with the original, it just loads up the current values from the installed bios :(

No, you can compare, your new build (creating a new DUMP with phoenix tool) and original bios (DUMP) using Win Merge.exe

I recommend this file to be available by PM only. I spent last couple hours flashing my laptop with BIOS files I've created and every time I ended with semi-brick. I also found BIOS files patched by moderators of two well known modding forums.
Same effect. Bricked laptop. I had to follow recovery procedure to make it work again.
tried to modify and flash your backup (using Backup Universal BIOS ToolKit. exe)?
Tried to put two copies of bios files with different names, including a SMC.BI suggested by phoenixtool (this name is saved in one of the modules if he have found it!)?

Thanks Micky, it turns out only 1 file had been modified and that was just a little extra coding on a 1kb file, I can't read binary garble but I think the phoenix bios tool just enables slice bios on computers.

Not sure if what i've posted in the topic above is relevant to the graphics card not working?
Someone with dsdt knowledge might know?

Yea, is relevant, but the principal root for Sandy Bridge System is the integrated video card.
If also we can find method for kill the HD3000, will lost the bridge for discrete video card.
Need a new kext, I think, for hackintosh (suggestion)
bat who have the skills?
Probably solution looking and porting the job from linux system

Here possible ACPI CALLS for editing in dsdt to try:

Note

our video card (discrete) is not really "standard" PCI

we really need a dev on board!

Guys i have a stunning news.

Our card is the 7470m, not the 6490m.
Checked on windows with Catalyst control center AMD, and the driver are correctly downloaded from HP site. (In amd site it says for me that "There was a problem on identifing your hardware).

It's probably a rebrand, but maybe with mountain lion the 7xxx card are supported.
