Hey guys!

Today my MSI R9 280x 6GB has been delivered :)
I moved my Chimera boot loader to my EFI partition using this fantastic guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/401-install-bootloader-extra-efi-partition.html
Now the system is running using the R9 280x and the system information provides theses facts:
Code:
[B]AMD Radeon HD 7xxx:[/B][FONT=Helvetica]
[/FONT]
[FONT=Lucida Grande] Chipset Model: AMD Radeon HD 7xxx[/FONT]
[FONT=Lucida Grande]  Type:    GPU[/FONT]
[FONT=Lucida Grande]  Bus:    PCIe[/FONT]
[FONT=Lucida Grande] PCIe Lane Width: x8[/FONT]
[FONT=Lucida Grande]  VRAM (Total):    6144 MB[/FONT]
[FONT=Lucida Grande]  Vendor:    ATI (0x1002)[/FONT]

[FONT=Lucida Grande]  Revision ID:    0x0000[/FONT]

[FONT=Lucida Grande]  Resolution:    1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz[/FONT]

luxmark calculates about 2200 points.
But the dvd player does not work: "There was an initialization error. A valid video device could not be found for playback. [-70017]"
When I try to run FCPx 10.1.1 I could open a timeline (i.e. BruceX), but the beach ball appears and I have to kill it.
Maybe it's not a problem, but playing back RedRaw in Davinci Resolve is about 15 fps. I expected a little more.

What might be the problem? Anything I could do?

Cheers,
Dogman

A quick update:
I think it's not a FCPx problem since I noticed no video is playable using the quicktime player. I get this error: "The document “xyz.mov” could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (-101)"

Maybe this is a sound problem. My audio in- and output devices are empty and the volume fader is grey and all down.
any ideas?

You'll need to have audio working for your gfx card to function normally
in FCP X, that's a requirement.
