I just upgraded from an ancient i5 750 with GTX 260 on Mountain Lion. I want to keep the system running, but I don't want the noise of the GTX 260. I eliminated all the other noise so far, but the stock fan on the GTX 260 during idle is just too high. I'd like to keep the current ASUS P7P55D EVO that is already in the case and just get a cheap and quiet video card... that works with OSX. does such a thing exist? The cheapest GTX on the current recommended list is still about $90. I'd like to stay below $40? It won't even be used, it'll just be there to keep the OS happy since the i5 750 doesn't have built-in video. Any recommendations?
