Quick Guide to Generate a SSDT for CPU Power Management

Thanks for the info, I put back the SSDT I generated, and rebooted, here is a new ioreg,

X86PlatformPlugin is loaded. Looks fine to me.

I just installed this machine again today, I used windows since I got the gtx1060, but now I decided to give OS X a spin.

First time I am using iMac14,2 definition. In the past I was using MacPro5,1 for all my installs. Except the audio pop, I don't see any difference with iMac14,2.

You can verify C and P States by using AppleIntelInfo. Intel Power Gadget is not accurate. https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/AppleIntelInfo

Just did my first build (GA-H110N, Core i3-6700, 8 GB RAM, 250 GB M.2 SSD) - followed the Sierra Installation guide step-by-step. I'm in MacOS fine and all seems to be functional (WiFi/Bluetooth card has not arrived yet).

Anyway, I ran the current ssdtPRGen.sh tool, it complained about my board (14,2) not supporting Skylake. I used -target 4 to override. I checked the power states (with the AppleIntelInfo.kext) before and after and this is what I got
