Quick Fix for Onboard Audio on 9 Series Motherboards

Status
Not open for further replies.
I am building with YOSEMITE
build:
GA z97x gaming 5
no video card
i7 4790
8 gb of ram in one stick

Unibeast
multibeast

I can not get audio and Multibeast for Yosemite doesn't include the fix for series 9.
Any ideas of what to do?
thanks

Not working for me.
Asrock X99M Killer
i7-5930K
16GB DDR4
HD5770 (can't get GTX980 to work yet reliably)

Tried first with MultiBeast ALC1150 + Series 9 patch - no dice
Next, restored drive from clone and used toledo's X99 patch command- no output devices
Added SSDT-1, repair permissions and reboot
Now I have output devices, IOReg is showing correctly, DPCIManager shows ALC1150, but no sound out on any port, including the digital optical output

@toleda - what have I missed?

x99 AppleHDA.kext patch, see Post #229, Haswell-E + X99 Motherboard Temporary Guide
9series patch different from x99 patch
OK, from audio_ALC1150-10.9.5 folder on desktop copy AppleHDA-orig.kext to desktop, rename AppleHDA.kext. Delete AppleHDA.kext from S/L/E
DPCIManager to install AppleHDA.kext from desktop, repair perms and rebuild cache

download the x99 patch and run

Reboot

Result is no output devices found.

On the right track. Current situation, native AppleHDA with x99 patch.
Next step, patch native AppleHDA for 1150.
Rename audio_ALC1150-10.9.5 folder to audio_ALC1150-10.9.5-Archive
Double click on audio_ALC1150-10.9.5-Archive/audio_realtekALC-90_v2.command (or similar)
Restart.

For the current script: audio_realtekALC-100.command.zip

This is folder on desktop I am renaming?
This folder only has 2 files - AppleHDA.kext and AppleHDA-orig.kext in it.
Where does the realtekALC-90_v.2.command script come from?
Do I run this script you have linked?
