and all my ports are now working as far as I can tell.
It's the "as far as I can tell" that's the problem. There are three external USB ports on this laptop. Two A's and one C. The A's work great. The C I don't actually have anything to plug into it, so I ignored it. I know if I get something that requires a C port I'll have to go back and do the work for it. But assuming that I don't, are there any potential problems that could be caused by me just ignoring setting it up?
