Hi,
I stumbled across the following forum entry on the ASUS forums. http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...TX-680-Series-Graphics-Cards&country=&status=
This is about an UEFI VBIOS update for the GPU (in this case gtx 680), instead of a legacy VBIOS. On Windows 8 Machines it is there to support Fast Boot GOP.
Additional updates for ASUS cards are to follow. (660ti,670, ...) I've read that UEFI bios for other manufacturers gpus (e.g. MSI) already exist.
Does it bring us any benefits to install these UEFI updates? Or even any drawbacks? Would you even discourage from updating?
I ask because I - like some others - have problems with my 660ti OC Edition with waking up from sleep. I get a black screen every time. Sleep/wake worked great until I installed my Nvidia crad.
My hope was the update to OSX 10.8.3 would help. But it has not improved.
Now I hope updating to UEFI bios can improve my situation.
Greetings lixxbox
