Im thinking of going into design in photoshop etc and will also use this pc as school computer.
How well does this laptop perform? Is it a good laptop? Is it easy to upgrade? Thinking about installing ssd and extra ram.

Thanks

I don't know if you have a specific Probook model in mind, but yeah, I use mine (you can see specs on my signature) for Photoshop designing and website coding too, plus other stuff, and works great. The best buy I've ever did.

I would suggest you get minimum an i5 processor.

This is the easiest laptop for upgrading RAM and SSD.

This is the one im thinking of buying: http://www.billigteknik.se/da/kontor/6743-hp-probook-4530s-lw776es-intel-laptop-i3.html

That is a 4x30s model, they only have HD3000. The 4x40s range have brilliant support now and many people a full working installation! I would recommend going for this range as they are newer and solve some of the issues with the 4x30s

both 4x30s 4x40s series are good, and you can always use windows 7/8 for games. so go ahead and just pick one you like most.

I don´t think you understand me, im saying i don´t know what your meaning about the 4x30s and 4x40s what is that? :p

Btw will this be able to run mac?

Intel Core i7-860 (manually selected), 500GB HD, 4GB RAM, 512MB Radeon 4350, DVDRW, Windows 7 Home Premium w/Media 32 bit

I dont think you understand too.

4x30s and 4x40s are 2 series of the hp probooks, the x in the numbers help shorten writing out all the model numbers of each series. 4230s 4330s, and 4340s 4440s etc

regarding your link, why are you posting a link to dell? you can search the forums for that model to see if you can run mac.

4x30s; 4330s, 4430s 4530s 4730s.
The letter in bold represents a screen size, 13", 14", 15" and 17".
This range used at best a sandy bridge CPU, which as HD3000 graphics.

4x40s; 4340s, 4440s 4540s 4740s.
The letter in bold represents a screen size, 13", 14", 15" and 17".
This range uses sandy bridge and ivy-bridge cpus, which as HD3000/HD4000 graphics.

Preferably you want one from the 4x40s range, which has an Ivy-Bridge mobo and graphics card, i.e. HM76 chipset. And a CPU which is i3-3XXX.

The HP ProBook range is the best supported due to compatible audio, lan, graphics, the newest range will accept a wide range of Wi-Fi cards also.
