I’ve been running Mavericks comfortably for some time now with only minor annoyances (occasional system generated restarts upon shutdown, screen does not display after extended non-use, etc.). However, it is time to upgrade to High Sierra. So, some questions that come to mind are:
- Does the Model Identifier get updated automatically, or does something else need to happen for that?
- My motherboard has the original firmware from 3 years ago. Does that need to get updated
- This scares me: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...fter-installation-efi-folder-included.238744/ As my setup is fairly similar, should I expect these kinds of issues?
- In terms of physical memory, if you had more than 1 memory card, the suggestion was to get the system going on 1 card (8Gb) and then add other cards later. Is that still the case?
- Does WiFi and Bluetooth work under High Sierra, or is it still out to lunch as before?
