Hello all!

I have ProBook 4530s UMA with integrated graphic card (HD3000) and i5-2450m. It is possible to put Quad Core processor there - i7-2670QM or 2630QM? Maybe someone tried this option?

Yes. Read the maintenance/service guide (download from hp.com) for details on CPUs that are supported.

I found it, but it's producent set's / configurations or compatibility of processors?
Maybe in practice, someone mount i7 in UMA and it's 100% works?

My 4530s is UMA only. and I'm using a Core i7 2630QM + HD 3000 works fine upgraded from a Core i5-2450M

Any problems with upgrade? Needs some modification in notebook / soft / bios?
I have BIOS Version 68SRR Ver. F.60

You think 2670 will be also compatible?

Nope no problems at all. But you will need to re-generate a SSDT for Powermanagement of course but everything else works fine. One thing tho these Quad Core CPUs get very toasty. the i7 2670 should work as its in the maintenance/service guide. Even tho there isn't a tick for the UMA models it will still work.

re-generate a SSDT for Powermanagement? It's hard to do it?
I have Windows 7 (not OS mod) and EU version of 4530s - XX955EA

You're only running Windows 7? not OS X?

Yes, only Windows 7. Sorry I asking here even though I am only MS system user, but I found that you have subforum for 4530s and you know a lot about this model
