PSA: Gigabyte F20B BIOS changes

hi nextsak

have not tried since my bios does not show dvmt preallocated and total gfx mem

I upgraded from F5 to F21. It broke my ability to boot to HD, but as this was a brand new system, I booted to USB and did a clean install.

Main problem was my boot priorities were messed up in the setup, was not going to UEFI, but I disabled the others and then I was able to boot. Also did the clover recommendations on the first two pages of this thread.

Currently not experiencing any problems, all working: GTX 970, audio, Ethernet, etc. Geekbench scores are identical.

I updated to F20 and my boot freezes on the macos progress bar after clover.
I used "Patch APIC" and "Kernel PM" options but with no result.

Any tips?

When you upgrade your BIOS it usually resets the settings to defaults (not even optimised defaults).
You have to remake all of the adjustments that you made when you originally set it up for the installation.
i.e. Disable the Serial port (SuperIO).

That I did. Disabled Serial port, Vt-d, etc.
