Hi there all. I'm wondering what smbios I should "actually" be using. Currently I'm using the MacPro 3,1 smbios. My current hardware is the same as my sig.

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2h-B3
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k @3.3 Ghz (not overclocked (yet))
Video Card: Asus ENGT220 1Gb DDR2 Video Ram
Ram: 4Gb (2x2Gb) DDR3 @1333Mhz (Upgrading to 8GB 2x4GB DDR3 1333 next week)
1 TB Hitachi 7200 RPM HDD

Now will I get any better results by using a different smbios, and/or over clocking my CPU? I just built this system in the last couple of weeks, and would like to tweak it the best that I can.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

I'm not entirely positive about the differences between the smbios, but my understanding is that 3,1 is the "best" one to use as it allows Apple to identify your computer for proper updates.

Also, why 1333Mhz? The difference may be marginal, but if you want to tweak your system you may as well go for the 1600Mhz ram. Just my 2 cents.
