Hey, everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could please help me find the best "Product Name" for my Hackintosh in SMBIOS. I have recently been using "MacBookPro 13,2", but I can't help but think that there's a better option.

My CPU is: "CI5 2.75 (i5 - 6400)"

Also, could you please explain what the letters mean before and after each number in regards to the CPU. Example: 2415M and T2500.

Very Respectfully,

Kyle

I am using a desktop, and I'm asking for help with that desktop. However, I am using a MacBookPro Product Name. I am not asking for help with a laptop.
Why would you do that ?

You can look at everymac.com or the free Mactracker app to see specs and then choose a definition that matches your actual hardware as closely as possible.

P1LGRIM,

Okay, I looked at all of the iMac specs, and it seems to me that one of these 3 are close enough? But I'm not sure which one would be the best option, if any of them are:

iMac "Core i5" 2.8 21.5-Inch (Late 2015)2.8 GHz Core i5 (I5-5575R)
iMac "Core i5" 3.1 21.5-Inch (4K, Late 2015)3.1 GHz Core i5 (I5-5675R)
iMac "Core i5" 3.2 27-Inch (5K, Late 2015)3.2 GHz Core i5 (I5-6500)

Should I choose one of these 3, or should I go back and search for something closer?

Very Respectfully,

Kyle
The iMac16,1 has integrated Intel graphics - You have Nvidia.
The iMac16,2 has integrated Intel graphics - You have Nvidia.
The iMac17,1 has AMD graphics - You have Nvidia.

If you are unable to find a closer match you should use iMac14,2 - You can always change it later if you feel the need.
