hey guys I am thinking about buying a laptop and to install mac osx mavericks on it; it will be my second hackintosh so i will be using it with adobe after effects and premier pro and also final cut so i came down to two choices

Hp probook 4540s

Intel® Core™ i7-3612QM Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.10)
8GB DDR3 RAM 1333MHz
750GB HDD 5400 rpm
AMD Radeon HD 7650M with 2GB dedicated

Hp probook 450 g1

Intel® Core™ i7-4702MQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.20)
8GB DDR3 RAM 1333MHz
1TB HDD
AMD Radeon HD 8750M (2GB dedicated DDR3)

so the advantage of the probook 4540s is that i own a 60 gb ssd so i will add it to it as second drive by replacing the optical drive bay with an hdd caddy and setup a fusion drive to install osx mavericks on it

but the advantage of probook 450 g1 that it has the 4th generation haswell core i7 and the intel hd 4600 graphics

so my question does the haswell i7 and the intel hd 4600 are really better than the ivy bridge i7 and the intel hd 4000 and does it really worth it to sacrifice to have a fusion drive and have high write and read speeds

Graphics HD4600 is better than HD4000 for sure, while installing with Probook 450 G1 require more effort than 4540s (but it will work fully in the end). I think the graphics performance is worthy for your work (video editing), especially when AMD won't work with OS X.

One note about the 450 G1. At present, the card reader is definitely not supported. If that is important...

thank you for answering quickly now i am trying to get the best of the best so i searched for 9.7 mm hdd caddy that will fit in probook 450 g1 and i found some results but most of them are sata 2 not 3

edit the probook 450 g1 has an actually 9.5mm optical drive not 9.7 so i have just found this 9.5 hdd caddy

Which did you decide on?

i decided the probook 450 g1 it has the hasweel i7 and intell hd 4600 which faster and with the 9.5 mm hdd bay i will be able to put the ssd inside it and setup a fusion drive

You will be happy with your decision

And everyone that already owns one will benefit from having another one hacked...
