Okay well, I have the Probook stable in Mavericks and have everything finally working except the trackpad. It's weird because it is working in some sense I have a usb mouse connected and while the lock light on the trackpad doesn't light up it will still toggle to disable clicking on the mouse. When I do a fresh install it works (very glitchy) But then when I install OSX support kexts it no longer functions.

System specs:

Hp Probook 4530s / XU015UT#ABA / F.40
i3-2310M / 4gb ram
Intel HD 3000 graphics

Make sure you are booting without the USB. Repair permissions & rebuild cache. Do EC reset.

Also, since you posted in the wrong forum (now moved), make sure you followed one of the ProBook guides.

EC Reset: Shutdown, disconnect/remove all power sources, hold power button 30 sec, reconnect power sources and restart.

Dude! that was insanely fast!

Okay so now I can't boot up but I'm gonna mess with it a bit using those instructions.

Did follow your guide, didn't know about EC reset.

Thank you very much for such a quick response!

Not being able to boot is indicative of not following the guide correctly...

Okay, so I did a fresh install. Making sure I followed every step to a tee. Same result, trackpad works at first boot but then once I install the VoodooPS2 kext it doesn't work. It is doing something though when I press printscreen the lock light lights up. Everything else works great.

No such luck bro. Does the version matter? I saw on the lion guide that the drivers will always be for just the latest version. Like is 1.8 for 10.9.3 & 10.9.4? If I just want to run 10.9.1 or 10.9.2 should I downgrade to 1.7 maybe?

Boot with -f, then provide output from these commands in Terminal:
Code:
kextstat|grep -y ps2
bdmesg|grep -y ps2

Okay so I reinstalled and skipped the step in the installer for SSDT generator and now it works. here are the results now.

60 0 0xffffff7f80c24000 0x5000 0x5000 org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard (1.8.11) <34 32 7 6 5 4 3 1>
61 0 0xffffff7f80c0f000 0xb000 0xb000 org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Trackpad (1.8.11) <34 32 7 6 5 4 3 1>

bdmesg|grep -y ps2

didn't produce any output

That looks fine. SSDT doesn't have anything to do with PS2, but it is important for CPU power management.

bdmesg|grep -y ps2

didn't produce any output

You must have forgot to boot with the -f flag.
