I think it is impossible to find a panel with the same specs

Have you measured the panel you current have to verify thickness?

4.1mm might work?

Exact measurement with precision calipers might be useful.
I'm afraid I haven't any calipers. According to the datasheet of the 450 G1 Panel it is 3.8 mm.
Maybe it is possible to insert a little more thicker panel in the bezel.

Maybe/maybe not. Data sheets can be inaccurate. I was looking for a way to verify it.

Any luck looking at models from the same manufacturer in the same line that have 1080p instead? Maybe difficult to find, but you'd think AUO would have 1080p in the same form factor. There are a lot of Ultrabooks with 1080p these days (although not many 15")...

@RehabMan How well versed are you in Voltage? What do you think about the higher input current for panel? I know that it has to be higher caused by the higher resolution. Can anything happen?
