I just finished building my computer for photo editing. Has Win7 installed and works well. I am a big mac user, and discovered this website, so decided to try a Hackintosh install.
Its a basic setup around a Gigabyte Z87-HD3 motherboard with an i5-4670k processor. I have a Seagate 1TB HDD and a Samsung 250G SSD. No graphics card - using the on-noard graphics. Only other components are a PCI wireless board, 500w Corsair power supply, an SD reader, and a wireless mouse and keyboard.
I prepared the bootable USB with Unibrast and even added Chimera. Downloaded Mavricks 10.9.1 and installed on USB drive, using my macbook air.
Tried several times to install on the pc with various BIOS options, used -x, but no success. Here's is where it hangs -
