Hi,

i have some troubles with AppleHDA.kext and El Capitan.

I have layout-ID 28 and ALC269. Both working fine in Mavericks an Yosemite. Kexts in Attachment.

I tried to patch my vanilla El Capitan kext, like i done before the Yosemite kext.
- copied Layout28.xml.zlib and Platforms.xml.zlib from Ressource folder Yosemite kext to El Capitan kext.
- AppleHDA.kext/Plugins/AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext./Contents/Info.plist -> IOKitPersonalities/HDA Hardware Config Resource/HDAConfigDefault block copied from Yosemite kext to El Capitan
- installed kext
- executed bcc9's script "./patch-hda.pl 10ec0269" - Patch was successful. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/page-2#entry2030060
- repaired permission & rebuild cache
- reboot

This time, no sucess. No sound.
This time I am on Clover. Last time i was on Chimera.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Did you add the extra patch required?

Yes. As far as i can see i have 3 ApplHDA patches in config.plist.
I added them according to the guide i linked in the first post.

have you tried running kext utility to repair the kext cache?

I had a very similar problem with mine and after using kext utility I managed to get it working after two reboots!

Also you could try the DummyHDA method and putting it in the S/L/E folder as well as your vanilla AppleHDA. I found that seemed to work better for me then manually patching!

I tried both.

1. With Patched AppleHDA.kext
= sound not available

2. With DummyHDA.kext
= sound not available

At the moment i only have the following boot parameters:
- dart=0 & rootless=0 & kext-dev-mode=1
Do i need some else?

This is really annoying. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Hope you have some more tips for me!

Thanks!

Shouldn't my AppleHDA or DummyHDA be visible? If yes i assume that the kext will not be loaded during startup ...

Im using the DummyHDA method and these are the three kexts that appear when I search AppleHDA. Take note that the 999.1.1fc1 is intact DummyHDA loading up.

Mine also wasn't appearing but following RehabMans guidance on repairing the kext cache it seemed to do the trick for me!

EDIT: I actually rebuilt the cache using Kext Wizard. Try using that to do it?
