We've got an Asus Z79-A motherboard with a GeForce GTX950 Graphics card. It's a Haswell i7-r4790k, 24GB of RAM, a 250 GB SSD and 1TB hard drive. The system had been running perfectly on Yosemite with a Chimera boot loader for about 2 years, including the ability to run VMWare. Well, the system drive went to a dark place and became unbeatable, and for that matter unreadable. We rebuilt the system, this time moving to the latest Clover and Sierra 10.12.6. We didn't make any changes to the BIOS settings, especially the virtualization settings. In bios the Virtualization (VT-x) is enabled and VT-d is (and always was) disabled. When we try to run the VMWare installer, it hangs on initialization and never finishes. We don't see anything interesting in the /var/log/install.log file. Is there some Clover setting that I'm missing and/or associated kext that we must have set/installed when using Chimera? We have scoured the forums and internet to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. We’re on the latest of version 8.
