Hey guys,

I installed OS X on my laptop using this guide (post 117): http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...772g-mavericks-10-9-1-build-6.html#post763953
It installs fine, no problems on first startup in safe mode, then I install the DSDT given in the guide and install all the kexts. Now when I reboot it gets stuck here:

Does anyone of you know what to do? I really need a working mac for music production, so any help is appreciated!

I don't think that is a very good guide.

First of all, Extra.zip is not provided in the downloads. And it is a very bad idea to use a DSDT from another computer. Patch your own instead. And there is a mach_kernel provided, but who knows for what version of OS X. It is useless and unnecessary. Patch the mach_kernel yourself: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-locked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq.html

I would start from scratch with a fresh install... Patch your own DSDT. Install components one at a time, so you understand what you're doing and why it works...

Hey,

I just did a reinstall (again), tried patching my own DSDT but it wont work, still get the same error as when I use the DSDT given in the guide. Do you know what might cause this?

What "same error?"

Unless you post your DSDT and a detailed description of how you installed, no one can help...

Can you boot without DSDT (eg. DSDT=Null)?

Hey Rehabman, thanks in advance for taking time to solve my problem.

DSDT=Null worked! So the problem is my DSDT, I used the guide in post #1 (http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...3-772g-mavericks-10-9-1-build.html#post760321) to create my DSDT but I guess I did it all wrong then. This is my first time doing this, so it wass all new for me. Could you take a look?View attachment DSDT.aml.zip

Just looking at a native DSDT, I can't tell you what you did wrong.

I suggest you start over and follow the DSDT patching guide there carefully...
