Problem with iD22 audio interface

Hi everyone, long story short, the audio interface does not work on my hackintosh. The computer was actually setup by someone else and I can confirm that the sound works with my old sound card which is Apogee One. But refuses to even recognise the iD22 by the system, cant see it in system report under "USB", I was happily using it on my macbook pro running osx 10.8.5. I tried to do a firmware update but the app crushes every time I try to follow the instructions. Any idea how to fix it? Please help.
