not working said:
  • Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/
  • Search the folder named Default and rename it in Default backup (if there is already a Default backup then just delete it and go on renaming the Default into Default backup)
  • Open Chrome and it won't crash

Hello there,

I'm using macOS Sierra 10.12.6.
I've installed Google Chrome as it is my favorite browser but, when I launched it, the whole system crashed with this log:

The PC that I'm using with macOS Sierra has:
  • CPU: Intel i5-3450 3.10Ghz (boosted 3.5Ghz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (upgrading it to the GTX 1050 in few days)
  • RAM: 2 bank 4GB each one DDR3 1333 Mhz
  • SSD: Samsung EVO750 250GB (where I've installed the OS)
Any suggestion?

I tried removing the arg: GraphicEnabler=Yes

Wrong on so many different levels.
GraphicEnabler=Yes is wrong (it should be GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No) but it is for the Chimera bootloader.
Even when entered correctly it has no meaning in Clover and will be ignored.
It makes no difference if you include it or not, the result will be the same.

kext-dev-mode=1 is invalid in Sierra.
NullCPUPowerManagement.kext defeats power management.

It would appear that your problem is with com.apple.filesystems.exfat, do you have a drive formatted as exFAT ?

the ST500DM002 (the first HDD Locale) is formatted as exFAT.
exFAT is a file system developed for flash drives and has little or no resilience which means that the slightest error can result in the loss of all of your data. Sharing the drive between operating systems multiplies the risk of corruption.
If you value your data do not use exFAT.

Update:

I think there was a problem with some files in Chrome folder.
I went to (with Chrome closed): ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/
I renamed the folder Default into Backup default.
I reopened Chrome now, the system, it's not crashing anymore.

I hope it won't start crashing later.
For the moment this problem is solved..

Update:
This doesn't work anymore (for me).

@P1LGRIM yesterday it worked with renaming the folder. Today, when I turned on the PC and I opened Chrome, it started crashing (the OS) again. And the trick of renaming the folder don't work anymore.

Try the trick of disconnecting the exFAT drive and see what happens.

Can I try to format it from an exFAT to an NTFS instead of disconnecting it?

It's yours, you can do whatever you like with it.

Okay, I meant if instead of disconnecting (without having to open the case and bla bla bla xD).
I try it immediately (that exFAT drive is empty atm so there's no problems)!
