Hi everyone. I have a problem with Final Cut Pro 10 on my hackintosh - low speed if I use H264 source media and trying export to H264. My hackintosh config: Asus Z97M-Plus, Core i5-4460, 2*4gb DDR3 1333, Gigabyte GTX660 2gb, 250 M.2 SSD Samsung EVO 850, Yosemite 10.10.5 + Clover 3270. I use only 3 kexts: fakesmc, intelmausi and voodoohda.
For example, same project (H264 1920*1080@50p source) on my Macbook Air Mid 2013 export in 9.6 seconds and 26.5 seconds on hackintosh! Also, I have low frame rate when I move cursor in timeline or media browser files.
I tried use different config.plist of clover, install nvidia web and cuda drivers, unplug GTX660 and use HD4600, but no result.
On GA z97x-ud3h rev2 / i5-4690k same project got 4-5 seconds.
Sorry for lame english.

Test project I use: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...lNDOHpGeFVORk0

To make sure that your VGA is working properly with OpenCL, try test with LuxMark first. The score should be nearly 1,xxx or more for better performance because FCPX requires OpenCL to work (not CUDA or OpenGL)

i tried export your sample project with my desktop is took about 7.5sec (for AppleTv 1080p, H264 preset, .m4v) and about 9sec with Custom H.264 (.mov)

I am using AMD HD7970 (LuxMark score around 23xx)

Which version of luxmark? I run version 3.1 with luxball default scene. I got 2864 points. With 2.1 version (sala scene) i got 440 points.

Oh, I still using LuxMark v.2.1 !!
** just downloaded LuxMark 3.1b and test it, the result is quite the same (12509, i am using another apps during the test)

I think it should be some problem with your VGA, The Luxball should be nearly 1x,xxx (my HD7970 is 12561 with Luxball), the fps drop to very low which mean the VGA card is not working properly (in my case, it the side effect from sleep, but not wake properly)

in my case, my desktop sleep and does not wake properly, so it did the trig to my HD7970 and make it sleep and never wake, so the frame rate drop to very low number (6-7 in LuxMark)

please see the following thread that i have replied with very simple solution, may be you are facing the same problem like my case.

I have no problem with wake up. As for luxmark, the nvidia cards work with opencl not good that amd. Possible so your result is so different.
I tried to unplug gtx660, but hd4600 is not work properly. Visual system is working fine, but FCP have no acceleration on export to h264. And trailers in itunes totaly hangs system (reset not work).
For HD4600 I add this in clover config.plist:

Code:
<key>Graphics</key>
<dict>
  <key>Inject</key>
  <dict>
     <key>Intel</key>
     <true/>
  </dict>
  <key>ig-platform-id</key>
  <string>0x0D220003</string>
</dict>

Now i fixed this problem with new dsdt (thanks to one guy on other forum). Now HD4600 with 0x04120004 framebuffer work with gtx660 together. Final cut decode and encode h264 with intel quick sync technology and itunes trailers works, but only sound.
But not all good. For example, this test with gtx660 got 135 seconds. But if I unplug gtx660, I have result 92 seconds! It's very strange. :problem:
Other problem - plugin for FCP Color Finale crashes when I render my projects.
I think, z97 chipset is not good for hackintosh and z87 is much better. I'm thinking to change my motherboard to Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H.

I have a Z97X UD5H and have no problems with FCP X. I also have a Z87X UD3H and had no problems.

Your problem is probably your graphics system. The GTX660 is a poor card for FCPX, I had one tried it and went back to 5770's as they were far, far faster.
