Got my Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3 System working a few days ago, dead easy just followed the iBoot and MultiBeast guide, using the attached DSDT. Now running with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Only issue was that I had to add the PCIRootUID=1 to get the install to complete, but a real breeze after that. Thanks to TonyMacX86.

This Fractal Design case is on one of the best and quietest cases I have ever used.

As of today, tonymacx86 and MacMan want you to know:
NOTE TO EARLY ADOPTERS: Power management isn't working yet on Socket 2011, so you'll still have to use NullCPUPowermanagement.kext with a DSDT. Because of that you won't be able to sleep the system and there is no speedstep functionality.

Hey there, where did you get the DSDT? You make it yourself?

I'm about to build a pro tools HD2 pci-e setup on a X79, im planning on using the sabertooth though, hows the system holding up?? geekbench?

Pro Tools HD 10.1.2 with digidesign hd core card pci, u mean pci or pci e
if pci, does pci works under osx

Yep this is PCI, it's works perfectly on Mac OSX. The chose of the X79 chipset means that PCI is supported natively by the chipset.

Geekbench gives it a 13542, which is pretty damn good. Holding up well, not had a single issue in weeks

wow glad to hear the mentioned board is working. do u have multibeast screen shots and maybe some pics of inside of your case?

congrats!

EDIT: it does have 1 old PCI slot.

Are u sure is not PCIe X1 ? That board has no old PCI slots
Let me re check...
Can u list the specific model of those digi design cards?

Thanks!
