Hello wonderful hackintosh people,

This is my first build:

Gigabyte Z87x-ud3h mobo
3.59ghz intel core i5
16gb 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM
Recording to/from a Lacie Rugged 1TB USB 3.0 external drive
System drive (Where ProTools is installed) is a Samsung 128gb SSD

I am using an Mbox 3, with bus-powered USB connectivity for my audio interface, and running Pro Tools 11.3 on Mavericks 10.9.5
According to Avid, this is a compatible match-up.
However, even on small sessions, with minimal plug-ins and tracks, I get the error:

"CPU usage is holding off USB audio. Remove some plug-ins, delete some tracks, or increase the H/W buffer size in the playback engine dialog. (AAE -6104)"

My system usage window is barely tapping 2% on my CPU, and memory never goes above 15%...

Why is it doing this? I cannot find anything online in any AVID forum about this problem.
I have optimized my system, deleted PT preferences, installed latest drivers, etc....

As an audio engineer trying to make music and get paid doing it, I am pulling my hair out over this!!

Please help if you can! Thank you!
